58-year-old Diane B. works at BIFI – a career counseling agency of the Austrian employment service, passionately helping long-term unemployed women find work. Known for her fierce advocacy, Diane battles an unfair system daily, struggling to meet her clients‘ needs. Caught between the „system“ as well as her the employers‘ demands and her clients‘ desperation, Diane edges towards a breakdown.

The short film is based on 150 biographical interviews with manual workers in Austria and Germany as part of Paulus Wagner’s dissertation at Sciences Po Paris/ France.
